The High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University holds the third phase of teacher training for Advanced Placement Courses in China

From July 12 to 15, 2015, the third phase of teacher training for pilot schools of the Chinese Advanced Placement (CAP) pilot program, organized by the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University, was held in Beijing ATC Science and Technology Exchange Center。320 teachers from 89 pilot schools in 27 provinces and municipalities participated in the training。Among them, 13 teachers from the High School attached to Tsinghua assumed the role of main lecturers in the training, and played an active role in demonstrating and leading。

At the opening ceremony, Wang Dianjun, president of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University, gave a detailed introduction to the progress of the experimental program of Advanced University courses in China, and made it clear that the strategic plan of CAP course is to promote education reform, cultivate top-notch talents, integrate Chinese and Western education, forge global elites, and achieve the ultimate goal of "talent power"。

You Sen, deputy Secretary general of the Chinese Society of Education, and Wang Shangzhi, professor of Capital Normal University, respectively introduced the significance and background of the establishment of Advanced Placement courses in China, as well as the ideas of promoting CAPM courses in China。Nie Fenghua, deputy director of the Online Education Research Center of the Ministry of Education, also spoke at the opening ceremony。

A total of seven courses are offered in this training, including Calculus (II), linear Algebra, probability statistics, physical mechanics, General Academic English, literary composition, and microeconomics。In the three-day training, the experts and scholars respectively from the syllabus, teaching content, teaching materials teaching method analysis and teaching suggestions were explained in detail, the training teachers and experts also carried out active discussions and exchanges, indicating that the harvest is quite fruitful。

The pilot program of China Advanced Placement Course is initiated by the High School affiliated to Tsinghua University and implemented jointly with the Chinese Society of Education and Higher Education Press，The aim is to provide high school students with the ability to learn early access to university courses，Receive training in college thinking and learning methods，Let students truly enjoy the education that best matches their ability and interest level，To help them prepare for university studies and future careers;At the same time, it will deepen the reform of senior high school education in our country，It will play a positive role in promoting the reform of personnel training mode in our country。The Chinese Advanced Placement Program pilot project was officially launched in Beijing on March 18, 2014, and thematic arrangements were made during the fourth China High School Principals Conference。From July 31 to August 8, 2014，The first teacher training of the first batch of experimental schools of the Chinese Advanced Placement Course Pilot project was held in Tsinghua High School;January 8-11, 2015，The second phase of teacher training of Chinese Advanced Placement Courses was held in Tsinghua High School;In the first semester of the 2014-2015 academic year, pilot courses and students' course selection work were officially launched;On April 13, 2015, the first national examination of Advanced Placement courses was held in China。
